Matt Binge, founder of Food Review Club and Limitless Life, had lived the transformation himself and wanted a book that proved it. He came with the content fully written and a library of real progress photos, but needed a designer who could turn that raw material into something that felt as considered as the story deserved: honest, front-footed, and built to sit alongside any published fitness title.
We started with the cover design, signed off before a single spread was built. Bold type against a dark gym background with the Limitless Life icon subtly behind, with Matt's own gym photo doing the emotional work. No stock imagery, no gloss, just a real dad, mid-set. It set the tone for everything that followed: direct, unpolished in the right places, and unmistakably personal.
With the cover approved, the rest of the 12-week plan was built out in InDesign across every chapter, from the opening "why" through to the final push in weeks 9–12. Full-bleed photography, torn-paper texture for the before-and-afters, and a bold pull-quote system were used throughout to break up dense programme content and keep the emotional narrative front and centre alongside the training plan itself.
Matt's own transformation photos were woven through the book as proof, not decoration. The goal was a book that reads like it was made by someone who'd actually done the work, because he has.
"Anyone looking for a talented designer, I cannot recommend bevo design enough. 7 months of work brought to life, beautifully." — Matt Binge, Food Review Club
